BERNINA Creative Center Classes Available to YOU!

Classes at The BERNINA Creative Center in Aurora, IL

Classes and retreats are designed to educate BERNINA customers on the use and functionality of their BERNINA products. In addition to meeting other BERNINA fans, you may also meet BERNINA dealers and staff who often attend these retreats.

How to Register:

Registration closes two weeks prior to class date. When registering, please identify Stitcher’s Quest as your local BERNINA dealer.

Upon registration, a local hotel accommodation will be recommended. Shuttle between the recommended hotel and BERNINA Creative Center will be provided each day. Registration also usually includes lunch each day at the Creative Center, kit supplies, and BERNINA Store shopping opportunities.   Classroom machines are provided. A list of any required accessories or supplies is given with registration information.

Master my BERNINA: Software 8– Be guided through BERNINA Embroidery Software V8 and learn how to navigate the software. Work with automatic and manual digitizing tools, explore creative fills and discover the amazing 3D effects. This is a three-day hands-on class that will raise your comfort level with V8.  
May 22-24, October 23-25

Master my BERNINA: DesignWorks– Unlock the potential DesignWorks Software with hands-on experience learning the major features of the software. Also have fun using the PaintWork, CutWork and CrystalWork tools during class.
February 16-17, May 25-26, October 26-27

What’s New in Software 8– Find out what’s new in BERNINA Embroidery Software V8. Color PhotoStitch, Couching, 3D Globe Effect, new fonts and much more is covered in this hands-on training. Attendees must be proficient in previous DesignerPlus versions. If you desire an overview of all basic software features, attending Master my BERNINA: Software 8 is recommended. What’s new in Software 8 focuses on the new features of the latest version of Software.

Advanced BERNINA Software Retreat– Proficient using BERNINA Embroidery Software V7 or 8 DesignerPlus and want to learn more? Dive deeper into ArtWork Canvas, manual digitizing and much more. If you want to create your own embroidery designs or are hesitant about learning digitizing this retreat helps you learn the process.

Accessories from A-Z– From applique to zippers, sewing techniques are fun, fast and easy when using the best presser foot or accessory for the job. Learn fun and practical ideas using specialty presser feet with techniques from The Big Book of Feet, a guidebook for BERNINA presser feet and accessories. Experience how to use many of these tools in this two-day hands-on class, creating a unique technique tag file that shows the variety and value of BERNINA presser feet and accessories. Students stitch 26 techniques – one for each letter of the alphabet – creating 26 vintage-looking tags.

Master my BERNINA B880– Over the course of three days, BERNINA 880 owners immerse themselves in their machine to discover its amazing features. Stitch Designer, tapering stitches and shaping in embroidery are just a few of the techniques that will be mastered in this course.

Capsule Club:   Meet and Make– Plan now to attend the first Capsule Club: Meet and Make at the BERNINA Creative Center. Join BERNINA Educator, Jaime David, along with a special guest Ambassador for three days of garment sewing tips and techniques focusing on the Overlocker machines.   Attendees will learn the basic skills of garment sewing using an overlocker while constructing a staple capsule pattern.
