Instructor: Amy Hughes
Instructor Bio: A little bit about me: Amy My fondest memories of sewing are when I was a very little girl my grandmother taught me to hand embroider and hand sew. I thought it was so cool to make hand embroidery dishtowels and pillowcases. The time I spent with her are some of my happies days. Then in high school I took home-ec and learned to make clothing. I even won several awards for my sewing. I was hooked for life. I also watched my mom do a few quilts, as well as her style of sewing. Later on in life after I gotten married we were on vacation, husband took me to Amish country and I saw those astonishing Amish quilts and my next goal was to learn how to quilt. When we got stationed in Virginia some friends and I started a craft and cuddles group and we started to teach sewing to the woman and other crafts at our Church. When we moved here to Florida almost 20 years ago. I got a job at a Quilt store and started teaching quilting and bag making. My passion is sewing, and creating and learning. I can never thank my grandmother enough for such a beautiful gift she gave me. (Her time to teach me)
