Quilt and Create Camp at Blue Lake - 1st Annual

A four-day event at Blue Lake Camp and Retreat Center, 8500 Oakwood Ln, Andalusia, AL

We've found a very special place for our first ever quilting and sewing camp! Lodging will be in the Oakwood building with linens provided.  Hotel-style bedrooms have an en suite bathroom and accommodate two per room.  Dorm-style rooms accommodate three per room and share a bathroom on each hallway.  Please specify your room-style preference and roommate on registration form.

Day campers are also welcome but have a day-camper fee that is required by BLC.

All campers must be registered in advance.  Choice of classes is subject to seating capacity.  We will not be using individual kitchens, and all meals will be available in the lodge dining room.  Please choose a meal plan that suits your planned time at campground.

All classes are 2-day or 4-day, allowing plenty of time for detailed instructions and completion of most projects. There will be a daytime option for a proctored Sewing Lounge to work on projects of your choice among friends and a proctor to assist with beginner-level guidance.  Evening to midnight sewing will also be available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.  All classes require that you bring your own machine and basic sewing tools.  Check each class supply list for specifics on fabric and notions required.

Registration for classes can be done online or by calling the store at 850-864-4555.  Link to classes - see below.
All campers must also register and indicate desired meal plan and accommodation requests by filling out registration form and mailing or bringing to Stitcher's Quest with payment.   Click HERE to print registration form.

What to pack:  Comfortable clothes and shoes - layers if necessary if you would like to walk the grounds and enjoy the refreshing country air.  The temperature will tend to drop in the evenings, so bring a jacket and check the forecast.  Our classes will be in Vickers Gym, a short walk from the main lodge, so bring an umbrella if the forecast includes rain.  Bring the sewing supplies for your class and the required machine(s) (sewing, serger, embroidery).  Don't forget power cords!  Add what will keep you comfortable - snacks, beverages, or packaged personal food.  Alcoholic beverages and personal cooking in the lodge are not allowed.
