Instructor Bio:
Margaret started sewing as a pre-teen, making many of her own clothes as many of us used to. When she had extra money, she would go to the fabric store, pick out a pattern, and buy fabric. In addition to making clothing, she made lots of various craft projects as well as square-dance clothes for her parents. Her sewing slowed down after she got married and had kids, but as she got to the point of thinking about retirement, she re-started her hobby. What better hobby than something she had enjoyed most of her life!!! So, she talked an adult education teacher into offering a beginner quilting class. That's all it took to start a love of quilting. Eventually, she moved on to taking classes at a local quilt shop and expanded her knowledge and skills. When she started at Stitcher's Quest, she was thrilled to be working in a quilt shop and has been amazed at how much more there was to learn. She continued to learn daily from doing projects, from co-workers, and from customers! She loves new projects, new techniques, new challenges, and especially loves seeing new quilters learning and loving what they are doing!!!
