Sweatshirt Jacket

We're getting crafty with the Sweatshirt Jacket!  Homework is required between class days to finish jacket in class on second day.

This is a fun between seasons jacket, simple design that allows you to maximize your creativity! Easy to incorporate orphan blocks, stash fabrics or unused quilt tops for the outer layer. If you look at the sample the sleeves were collaged using scraps of fabric, the jacket body was single cuts from yardage. Many options for you. The sample used log cabin blocks then cut to explode out fabric cuts for color in background fabric.

Bring to class:
Purchased crew-neck sweatshirt in size that is at least 3 sizes larger than your normal size.
Sewing machine, feet for straight and design stitches and quilting foot, quilting gloves, straight pins, 505 spray, coordinating & decorative threads.
Choice of fabrics for covering exterior: 8 Fat Quarters (batik is suggested), 2 yards contrasting binding, variegated thread for deco stitch, embroidery thread for quilting stitch.
