Keeping Cool--Fabric Painting Class

Learn to create a work of art using watercolor pencils!

Jackie joins us in the first of a four-part series to paint your fabrics.  June class is summer based, Sept is Autumn, and Nov is Winter themed.

List of supplies:

Fat quarter (FQ) of white fabric (if using a white-on-white pattern, your piece will have a more interesting texture as the pattern resists the paint!)
FQ backing
FQ size cotton batting
1/4 yd inner border and binding--sub cut into two 1-inch strips and two 2 1/2-inch strips
1/4 yd outer border--sub cut into two 2 1/2-inch strips
Black thread
1-2 filled bobbins
safety pins to baste quilt top
2 pencils
24-inch quilting ruler
roll of painter's tape
1/2-inch flat watercolor brush
#4 round watercolor brush
small container to hold water
paper towels
Derwent watercolor pencils
Stippling foot for your sewing machine
