Learn to create a work of art using watercolor pencils!
Jackie joins us again in the Fall session of her four-part series to paint on fabric.
List of supplies:
1/2 yard white or off-white solid 100% cotton fabric
Batting - 18"x23"
1 fat quarter of your choice for backing + fat quarters for borders & binding
Thread - White or Off-White + Dark Brown (for Detail) + thread to match your backing (for Quilting)
2 sharpened #2 pencils
Painter's Tape
Derwent Inktense or Regular Water Color Pencils
#4 round bristle watercolor brush
#8 flat bristle watercolor brush
Golden or Liquitex brand Matte Medium (small bottle) - available at Michael's
Paper towels - about 5
Plastic cup for water
Safety Pins
Scissors
Rotary Cutter
Small Cutting Mat and 22" quilting ruler
Sewing Machine
Regular stitching foot
Stippling Foot (or Darning Foot)
Watercolor pencils and brushes are available at Stitcher's Quest
Please have fabrics pressed so they are without wrinkles. You can wrap the fabrics around a cardboard tube to keep them fairly wrinkle-free.
Derwent watercolor pencils work the best - others are not recommended by the instructor.
Approximate finished size of the wall hanging is 17"x22".
