Sew Days for Youth and Young Adults - Learn to Sew

Sew Days 2019:  Six one-day classes.

Each week will feature a different project that will advance your sewing knowledge and skill.  Classes are independent and you do not need to register for the first class to take the following class.

Projects by date are:
August 10 - A mitered placemat
August 24 - Half & Half Apron
September 7 - A travel-sized pillowcase
September 21 - Catch-All
October 5 - Sling Backpack
October 19 - Tote Bag

Stop by Stitcher's Quest to see the samples of each project.

Click here to print a parent/guardian permission form.  This form must be printed, signed, and delivered to Stitcher's Quest for any minor child (under age 18).  Recommended for ages 12 to 21.  Parents are required to stay with children under age 14.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Each project will emphasize a different sewing skill or technique. The classes are independent and need individual registration.
Requirements: Students under the age of 18 must bring a parent- or guardian-signed permission form to the first class. If you have a sewing machine that you are familiar with, you should bring and use in class. For those students that do not own a machine or are not familiar with the machine that is available to them at home, we prefer they use our student machines in class. This class is to focus on sewing skills. If you need general help learning your sewing machine, we can set up a one-on-one class. All students need to bring small scissors for snipping threads, a seam ripper, and straight pins.
